I  am a 1994 graduate of Cherokee High School.  I graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 1998.  I furthered my education by pursuing and completing my Master's degree in Elementary Education in 2002 also from the University of North Alabama.  I have been married to my husband Ray Morris, who is a 1988 graduate of Colbert Heights for 14 years.  We have 4 beautiful children.  Andrew who is 11, Elliott is 9, Isaiah is 5 and Olivia Anne is 3.  They keep us very busy with all things sports! 

My favorite Bible verse is..."Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God...and the peace that passes all understanding will guide your hearts and lives in Christ Jesus."  Phillipians 4:6-7

Favorite Saying:  Happiness is like a butterfly which when persued is just beyond your grasp...but if you sit quietly, it will light upon you.

Favorite food:  Seafood

Favorite Sport:  Basketball


I have been teaching for 12 years.  I taught kindergarten at Colbert Heights Elementary for 6 years before deciding to stay at home with my two oldest boys.  I am enjoying teaching second grade! 


Family:  I am married to Ray Morris who is the Electrical Instructor at NWSCC and we have four children. Andrew is 11, Elliott is 8, Isaiah is 4 and Olivia Anne is 2.

Hobbies:  I am a very busy Mom of my 4 awesome children who are always into some sport activity.  God has truly blessed me with them and I live each day to the fullest.  I am honored to teach at Colbert Heights Elementary and realize that every child is a blessing.  I enjoy going on vacations.  My favorite trip was on a cruise to the Bahamas.  I love the beach and also enjoy exercising and running.

Favorites:  The color pink, Italian food and basketball!
